School of Journalism and Communication of Southwest University was established in April, 2006, combining the majors of Journalism, Hosting and Broadcasting of Southwest Normal University and the information center of Southwest Agricultural University together. The school now has 3 departments: Journalism, Broadcast Television and Communication. We offer three undergraduate majors including Journalism, Director of Broadcasting television and hosting art. We also confer the master degree to communication (including News communication, New media communication and Image communication), Modern Chinese Narrative Literature, Film Studies, and Media Technology for Education.
